Belagavi: The case of kidnapping a girl from Belgaum and taking her to Gujarat and sexually assaulting her has come to light of late.A case has come to light that a 14-year-old girl studying in a private school in Belagavi was kidnapped by a young man and taken to Gujarat and raped. A 14-year-old girl who had gone to school went missing without returning home. The girl’s father, alarmed by this, lodged a complaint about her daughter’s disappearance at the camp station in Belgaum. The police investigating the case got information that the girl was in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A team headed by Khadebazar ACP Chandrappa, who immediately went into action, arrested the accused and rescued the girl and brought her to Belgaum.
A 19-year-old youth named Akash Dodia, who was living in Belgaum with his parents, abducted the girl and took her to his relative’s house in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. After that, he is accused of sexually assaulting the girl continuously for two days. In this regard, the police have registered a complaint under the POCSO Act against Akash Dodia and sent him to jail.

The victim girl has been subjected to a medical examination and the investigation has been expedited. The truth will be known after the medical examination report of the victim is received whether the accused has sexually assaulted the girl or not.
