The Karnataka Food Department has expanded the ‘Anna Seve’ app facility for completing ration card e-KYC to all 31 districts across the state. Beneficiaries can now complete the process from the comfort of their homes within just five minutes using only their ration card details and the mobile number linked to the card, without submitting any additional documents.
Many ration card beneficiaries migrate to cities and towns for employment. Earlier, they had to travel back to their native places and visit government offices or fair price shops to complete the e-KYC process. However, the introduction of the Anna Seve app has eliminated this difficulty.
The app has been launched to make the e-KYC process simpler, faster, and more convenient for ration card holders. Beneficiaries no longer need to visit fair price shops or stand in long queues. They can complete the process easily from their homes using their smartphones.
For the convenience of senior citizens and children, the app also provides a Face Authentication facility. The digital service has been introduced with the aim of saving people’s valuable time and effort.
The Karnataka Food Department has advised beneficiaries to watch the instructions carefully, complete the face authentication process, and finish their e-KYC easily from home through the Anna Seve app.
Follow These Steps to Complete Ration Card e-KYC Through Anna Seve App:
Open the Anna Seve app and select the login type. Choose the ‘Self/Citizen’ option instead of the officer option.
Select your district from the list of available districts.
Enter your ration card number.
Enter the mobile number linked with your ration card and request an OTP.
After entering the OTP, a new page will open displaying the details of family members linked to the ration card.
Select the family member whose e-KYC needs to be completed and complete the face authentication process through the supported app.
Once the process is successfully completed, a confirmation message stating “e-KYC Successful” will appear, indicating that your e-KYC has been completed.
