Narayana Health, led by renowned cardiac surgeon Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, is set to introduce a new model of healthcare delivery with the launch of India’s first fully paperless smart hospital in Bengaluru. The upcoming facility will stand out by placing nurses at the center of its administration and operational management.
The hospital, coming up in Banashankari, will function through a completely digital system, eliminating the need for paper based processes. Unlike conventional hospitals, it will not have separate reception desks, secretarial staff, or dedicated human resources and finance departments. Instead, doctors, nurses, and technicians will work together in a streamlined technology driven environment, with nurses taking on key leadership responsibilities.
To support this initiative, Narayana Health has invited applications from eligible nurses across India. The opportunity is open not only to nurses currently employed by the organization but also to professionals working in any hospital across the country.
Candidates with a BSc Nursing or GNM qualification and one to two years of clinical experience are eligible to apply. The programme is aimed at young nursing professionals who aspire to take up leadership positions and eventually manage large healthcare institutions. Only 25 candidates will be selected from across the country.
Selected nurses will continue to receive their regular clinical salary while also earning additional management incentives for taking on administrative responsibilities. As part of the programme, they will undergo advanced training in hospital administration at IIM Bangalore, with the entire cost of the course being covered by Narayana Health.
The initiative is expected to create a new career pathway for nurses by combining clinical expertise with management skills, allowing them to play a larger role in hospital leadership and decision making.
Interested candidates can apply by submitting their updated resume to the email address provided by Narayana Health as part of the recruitment process.
