Google Vids Update Lets Users Create AI Videos for Free With Text or Image Input
The new Google Vids update allows all users to generate up to 10 eight second AI powered videos per month using text prompts images and even custom AI avatars for enhanced creativity

Google has rolled out a significant update to its AI video creation platform Google Vids, making it accessible to all users without requiring a subscription. Previously, only paying subscribers could generate videos, but the latest update opens the tool to free users, allowing them to explore AI video creation at no cost.
The platform now uses Veo 3.1 powered AI to produce videos. Users can generate clips of up to eight seconds in length using either text prompts or image inputs. Google has set a limit of ten free videos per month per account, offering a taste of its AI capabilities while encouraging users who need more content to consider subscribing.
In addition to basic video generation, the update introduces support for custom soundtracks. Users with access to Google AI Pro or AI Ultra can add music created with Lyria 3 and Lyria 3 Pro, producing audio clips ranging from thirty seconds to three minutes. This brings a new level of customization to AI videos, enhancing storytelling and engagement.
Another exciting addition in Veo 3.1 is AI avatars. Users can include digital avatars in their videos, allowing them to create more dynamic and personalized content. This feature leverages AI to automatically integrate avatars into video clips seamlessly.
