Blinkit Expands Quick Delivery to Airports with New In Terminal Service in Mumbai

Passengers at Mumbai airport can now order essentials through Blinkit and receive deliveries inside terminal within minutes, marking a new step in convenience driven retail and travel experience

Blinkit has taken a major step in redefining convenience by launching its delivery service inside an airport terminal. The company has rolled out this new feature at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, allowing passengers to order items and receive them without stepping out of the terminal.

This service is currently active at Terminal 2, where travelers can place orders directly through the Blinkit app. Deliveries are made within the airport premises, including boarding gates, lounges, food courts, and select partner outlets. The move aims to solve a common travel problem where passengers often forget essential items while rushing to catch flights.

The initiative comes through Blinkit’s partnership with Adani Airport Holdings Limited, which manages the airport. By integrating quick commerce into a high security environment, the companies are introducing a model that has rarely been attempted at this scale.

More than 2500 products are available under this service, covering a wide range of everyday needs. Travelers can order items such as chargers for phones and laptops, books, snacks, personal care products, baby essentials, and even small gift items. The deliveries are handled by Blinkit’s on ground team, ensuring that orders reach customers quickly within the terminal.

According to company leadership, implementing such a service inside an airport required careful planning due to strict security protocols. However, the rollout is being seen as a significant innovation in improving passenger experience, especially for those dealing with last minute travel needs.

Using the service is straightforward. Passengers simply need to update their Blinkit app to the latest version and place an order as they normally would. Once confirmed, the delivery is routed to their selected location within the terminal.

With this launch, Blinkit is pushing the boundaries of quick commerce beyond homes and offices, entering travel spaces where speed and convenience matter the most. If successful, this model could expand to more airports, changing how passengers shop while on the move.
