Raichur youth fulfils parents’ dream with helicopter ride, wins hearts
Raichur: In a heart-warming gesture that has captured public attention, a young man from Raichur spent ₹6 lakh to fulfil his parents’ long-cherished dream of travelling in a helicopter.
The act of love and gratitude has drawn widespread appreciation from local residents and social media users alike, with many hailing the son as an inspiring example of respect and care for parents.
The youth, Abdul, a resident of Abdul Janata Colony in Raichur, revealed that his parents had often expressed a desire to experience a helicopter ride. “My father and mother had earlier told me that they wished to travel by helicopter and see places from the sky, especially via Bengaluru to Sindhanur,” Abdul said.
Determined to turn their wish into reality, he carefully planned the trip despite the significant financial cost. On Saturday, Abdul arranged a helicopter journey for his parents, Sharif Saab and his wife Sajadi Begum, along with other family members.
The helicopter reportedly flew from Bengaluru to Sindhanur, after which the family was taken on an aerial tour covering prominent locations in and around Sindhanur. The rare sight of an ordinary family enjoying a helicopter ride created excitement among locals, many of whom gathered to witness the moment.
Abdul, who works in a private job and is also involved in real estate on a small scale, said the experience was not about showcasing wealth but about fulfilling a promise. “This is not a luxury for me. It is simply about keeping my word and making my parents happy,” he said.
According to sources, the entire trip cost around ₹6 lakh, a substantial amount for a middle-class family, making the gesture even more special. Residents of Ward Number 25 in Janata Colony praised Abdul’s devotion to his parents.
Many said his actions stand as a reminder that caring for parents and respecting their wishes is more valuable than any material success. “In a time when people are often too busy to spend time with their parents, Abdul has shown what true gratitude looks like,” a local resident remarked.
Speaking about the experience, Abdul said, “My parents had once mentioned their wish to travel in a helicopter. I have only done my duty as a son by fulfilling that wish. This is a small gift from me to them.” His parents, visibly emotional, expressed happiness and pride, blessing their son for his love and thoughtfulness.
The incident has now become a talking point in Raichur, inspiring many to value family bonds and reminding society that simple acts of love can create unforgettable memories.
