RCB winning Celebration stampede: Metro stations in the city center are seeing heavy congestion as thousands of fans flock to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL victory.
The congestion was so severe that the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) closed the Central College, Vidhana Soudha, Cubbon Park and MG Road metro stations. “Congestion will be very heavy at Vidhana Soudha and M Chinnaswamy Vidhana Soudha stations from 4.30 pm until further notice.

Accordingly, token and QR ticket distribution services at these stations have been temporarily suspended. The Cubbon Park Metro station, adjacent to the stadium, had become a hub of activity, with the number of incoming passengers outnumbering outgoing passengers.
Incoming passengers were made to wait for departing passengers to be allowed to exit the station. Only 20 percent of the turnstile (automatic fare collection) gates were open to incoming passengers.

Royal Challengers Bangalore to celebrate the IPL 2025 Championships on June 4. It is reported that at least 11 people dead and several were injured as thousands of fans gathered outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The injured were taken to Boring Hospital in Shivajinagar, sources said. It is learned that some fans are injured when people gathered at the stadium gates, where the cricket team is expected to celebrate a long -awaited victory.
