Beats 360 Headphones Launch in India With Custom Cushions
Beats 360 headphones arrive in India with interchangeable cushions, advanced noise cancellation, Spatial Audio, Bluetooth 5.3 and up to 32 hours of battery life for users.

Beats has expanded its headphone lineup in India with the launch of the new Beats 360 over ear headphones. The company is focusing not only on audio performance but also on personalisation, allowing users to change the ear cushions and headband cushion according to their preferred style.
The headphones are priced at Rs 42,900 in India and come in Black, Cloud, Pink and Sky colour options. Online sales have already started, while availability at physical stores begins on September 24.
The interchangeable cushion system is one of the most noticeable features of the Beats 360. Each headphone comes with matching Performance Knit cushions, while customers can separately purchase different cushion kits to change the appearance and feel of the device.
The Performance Knit cushion uses memory foam, while the UltraPlush option uses engineered leather. Both are designed to provide a different feel during extended listening sessions.
Beats is also offering the replacement cushion kits separately for Rs 6,900. Performance Knit kits are available in Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, Navy and Volt. The UltraPlush version is offered in Black and Cloud.
Noise cancellation is another major focus of the new headphones. Beats says the Beats 360 features its most advanced Active Noise Cancellation system yet and can reduce noise by up to 1.75 times more than the Beats Studio Pro under the company’s stated comparison.
The headphones also include Transparency Mode. This allows users to hear surrounding sounds when they do not want to completely block out their environment. Adaptive EQ continuously adjusts the sound according to the listening experience.
For immersive audio, Beats 360 supports Personalized Spatial Audio and Dynamic Head Tracking. Dolby Atmos support is also included, giving compatible content a more spacious listening experience.
The audio hardware includes custom 40mm drivers, dual neodymium magnets and a three layer diaphragm. These components are designed to deliver the sound performance expected from a premium over ear headphone.
Battery life is another strong feature. Beats claims up to 32 hours of playback, including when Active Noise Cancellation and Personalized Spatial Audio are being used. The headphones charge through USB Type C.
The Fast Fuel feature is designed for users who need a quick boost before heading out. According to Beats, five minutes of charging can provide up to one hour of playback.
Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth 5.3, with support for both Apple and Android devices. The headphones are designed to provide different features depending on the connected platform.
Apple users get features such as One Touch Pairing, Automatic Switching, Audio Sharing and Find My integration. Android users receive Fast Pair, Audio Switch and Find Hub support.
Calls are handled through a nine microphone system. The microphones are used for functions including noise cancellation and voice capture, helping the headphones manage both listening and calling duties.
The physical design has also been built for portability. The Beats 360 uses an over ear construction and can fold flat when it is being stored. A fabric carrying case is included in the box.
At around 294.5 grams, the headphones are positioned as a substantial over ear model while still offering a fold flat design for easier carrying.
Beats has also given the model an IPX4 rating for resistance against sweat and water. This makes the headphones more suitable for everyday use where light exposure to moisture may occur, although the rating does not make them waterproof.
The combination of interchangeable cushions and premium audio features gives the Beats 360 a different approach from conventional headphones. Instead of offering only different colours, Beats is allowing users to change parts of the physical design after purchase.
For buyers in India, the Rs 42,900 starting price places the Beats 360 in the premium headphone segment. The additional cushion kits provide another way for users to customise the product, although they come at an extra cost.
With Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, long battery life, Bluetooth 5.3 and support for both Apple and Android devices, the Beats 360 is designed as an all purpose premium headphone for music, calls and entertainment.
The interchangeable cushion system may ultimately be the feature that attracts the most attention. Users who want to change the look or material of their headphones can purchase another cushion kit instead of replacing the entire device.
