KSRP Constable Recruitment Exam Sees Strong Attendance

The written examination for recruitment to Karnataka State Reserve Police constable posts was completed across Karnataka, with thousands of candidates appearing for the test at centres in Bengaluru and several other districts.

The recruitment examination was conducted for a total of 2,314 vacancies covering the Residual Parent Cadre and Kalyana Karnataka Cadre. The Karnataka Examinations Authority supervised the examination process and maintained monitoring arrangements to prevent irregularities.

Attendance was particularly strong among candidates appearing under both categories. In the Residual Parent Cadre, 1,12,125 candidates appeared out of 1,42,912 registered candidates, resulting in an attendance rate of about 78 percent.

The Kalyana Karnataka Cadre also recorded a higher attendance percentage. Of the 38,332 candidates registered under this category, 32,694 appeared for the examination, taking attendance to around 85 percent.

The examination was conducted at 333 centres across eight districts, including Bengaluru. Different timings were followed for the two categories to manage the large number of candidates and ensure the examination could be conducted smoothly.

Candidates under the Residual Parent Cadre appeared for the examination at 10.30 am. The Kalyana Karnataka Cadre examination was held at 3 pm across 85 centres in four districts.

The large number of candidates required extensive arrangements at examination centres. Authorities had to coordinate candidate entry, examination procedures, security measures and monitoring across multiple locations.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority also established a dedicated command centre at its office to keep track of the examination process. The arrangement was aimed at quickly identifying and responding to any irregularities or problems reported from examination centres.

KEA Executive Director H Prasanna and Administrative Officer Islavuddin Gadyal were present at the command centre during the examination. They monitored developments from the control room and reviewed the conduct of the test at different centres.

The command centre provided the authority with a central point from which the examination could be monitored while candidates were writing the test at locations spread across the state.

The recruitment examination is an important step in the selection process for the KSRP constable posts. With more than 1.8 lakh candidates registered across the two categories, the scale of the examination required considerable logistical preparation.

The attendance figures also indicate the level of interest among candidates seeking government employment in the police force. While some candidates could not attend, a substantial majority of those registered reached the examination centres and took part in the written test.

The successful completion of the examination now moves the recruitment process to its next stage. Further procedures will depend on the official recruitment schedule and the results announced by the Karnataka Examinations Authority.

For candidates who appeared for the test, attention will now shift towards the result and subsequent stages of the selection process. The authorities are expected to release further information as the recruitment process progresses.
