Bengaluru Power Cut on August 30: Electricity Supply to Be Disrupted in These Areas

Bengaluru residents in several localities will experience a scheduled power outage on Sunday, August 30, 2026, due to emergency maintenance work being carried out by KPTCL.

Power Cut in Malleswaram Division (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM):

According to KPTCL, emergency maintenance work at the 66/11 kV IISc Substation will affect power supply in the Malleswaram Division from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The power outage will affect Malleswaram, M.D. Block, Vyalikaval, Swimming Pool Extension, Kodandarampura, Ranganathapura, BHEL, IISc Brain Centre, Ambedkar Nagar, Yeshwanthpur Pipeline Road, L.N. Colony, Subedarpalya, Diwanarapalya, K.N. Extension, Yeshwanthpur 1st Main Road, HMT Main Road, Model Colony, Sharif Nagar, and the surrounding areas.

Residents in the above localities and nearby areas are advised to plan accordingly as electricity supply will remain suspended during the maintenance period.

Power Cut in Peenya Area (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM):

Power supply under the 220/66/11 kV SRS Peenya Substation will be interrupted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on August 30 due to maintenance work. The outage will affect Peenya 10th Main Road, Peenya 11th Main Road, areas around Udupi Hotel, IR Polytechnic Road, Lakshmidevi Nagar, Laggere Old Village, Lav Kush Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Chowdeshwari Nagar (6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Cross), 1st Phase PIA 7th Cross, the 1st Phase PIA Area, TVS Cross Road, ISRO 1st and 2nd Cross, and the surrounding areas of Yeshwanthpur.

Residents in these areas are requested to make necessary arrangements in advance to avoid inconvenience during the scheduled power outage.
