Toxic Box Office Collection Day 2: Yash’s Film Nears Rs 200 Crore Worldwide

In just two days, the film has grossed a massive Rs 190.75 crore worldwide, putting it on track to set new records. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, audiences have continued to flock to theatres, keeping the film’s momentum strong.

The movie earned around Rs 150 crore on its opening day. As expected, collections dipped by 64% on Thursday (August 27), a regular working day. Even so, the film maintained a solid performance, collecting Rs 36.40 crore net in India on its second day across 22,629 shows, proving its strong hold at the box office.

The Hindi version contributed the highest share of the second day’s domestic earnings, collecting Rs 23.00 crore. The Kannada version earned Rs 8.50 crore, followed by Telugu with Rs 3.00 crore, Tamil with Rs 1.50 crore, and Malayalam with Rs 40 lakh.

The film has also performed well overseas, earning Rs 10.00 crore on Day 2, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 26.25 crore. With this, the film’s total India net collection stands at Rs 137.50 crore, while its India gross has reached Rs 164.50 crore.

Although collections saw a slight decline due to the weekday effect, trade analysts expect ticket bookings to surge over the weekend. With strong audience interest, ‘Toxic’ is expected to witness another major jump in collections and could break several box office records in the coming days.
