Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro India Launch May Bring 5,100mAh Battery

Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is expected to enter India soon with a larger battery, refreshed camera design and affordable positioning, while certification sightings have already fueled launch expectations.

Tecno appears to be preparing another budget smartphone for the Indian market, with the Spark Go 3 Pro reportedly nearing its launch. While the company has not officially announced the device yet, recent leaks and certification listings have started revealing some details about what could be in store.

The biggest talking point so far is the battery. The Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro is expected to feature a 5,100mAh battery, slightly larger than the 5,000mAh unit found on the existing Spark Go 3. This could make the upcoming model appealing to users who prefer longer battery life without moving into a more expensive smartphone segment.

A recent tipster post on X claims that the Tecno Spark Go 3 Pro could be launched in India on August 28. The information should be treated as unofficial for now because Tecno has not confirmed the launch date. Images shared alongside the claim reportedly show the handset being tested in a dark red finish.

The rear design is also expected to receive a noticeable change. The leaked images show a rectangular camera module with a single rear camera and an LED flash. This arrangement appears different from the camera setup used on the current Spark Go 3, suggesting that Tecno could be giving the Pro model a slightly refreshed appearance.

Before these recent leaks surfaced, the Spark Go 3 Pro had reportedly appeared in the EEC and TUV certification databases. Such listings generally indicate that a device is moving through the necessary certification process, although they do not by themselves confirm an Indian launch date or the complete specifications.

For comparison, the Tecno Spark Go 3 was introduced in India earlier this year. It features a 6.74 inch HD Plus IPS display with support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The phone is powered by a 4nm octa core Unisoc T7250 processor and runs Android 15.

The existing model also focuses heavily on basic camera features. It comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera accompanied by a dual LED flash, while an 8 megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. The camera software includes modes such as AI CAM, Beauty, Portrait, Super Night, Dual Video, Pro and Panorama.

The Spark Go 3 also carries a 5,000mAh battery with 15W wired charging. Connectivity options include dual SIM support, 3G, 4G, WiFi, GPS and a USB Type C port. Tecno has also included its Ella voice assistant.

One unusual feature on the existing model is offline calling. The company says the feature allows Tecno users to communicate with other compatible Tecno users within a range of around 1.5 kilometres without relying on a conventional mobile network.

The Spark Go 3 Pro could build on this budget focused approach while bringing a few hardware and design changes. The larger battery, if confirmed, would be one of its most practical upgrades. However, details about the processor, display, cameras, charging speed, RAM, storage and Indian price are still unavailable through official channels.

For now, buyers should take the reported August 28 launch date and other leaked specifications with some caution. More information should become available if Tecno officially announces the handset in the coming days.
