Vivo T5 Launching With 7050mAh Battery and 144Hz Display

Vivo India has confirmed that its new Vivo T5 smartphone will arrive in the country on September 2. The company is positioning the device around a combination of performance, battery life and a premium looking design.

The battery is likely to be one of the biggest attractions. Vivo T5 will come with a 7050mAh battery, while the company says the phone will remain notably slim despite carrying such a large power unit. This could make the device appealing to people who spend long hours watching videos, gaming, browsing social media or working on their phones.

The display is another major highlight. Vivo has confirmed a 1.5K 144Hz 3D curved AMOLED panel for the smartphone. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother, while the AMOLED screen is expected to offer strong contrast and deeper blacks. The 144Hz panel could also appeal to users who regularly play games on their phones.

Vivo is also putting attention on the phone’s appearance. The T5 will use what the company calls a Skyline Design, giving the handset a more contemporary look. It is expected to be available in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options.

Under the hood, the smartphone will feature a MediaTek 7500 Turbo processor. Vivo has also highlighted AI performance and says the handset will include several intelligent AI features. However, the company has not yet revealed exactly how these features will be used, leaving some details for the launch event.

The combination of a large battery, high refresh rate display and the new MediaTek processor could place the Vivo T5 in the premium mid range smartphone segment. The company has not yet revealed the complete specifications or pricing.
