Karnataka Weather Forecast Today
The southwest monsoon remains active over Karnataka, bringing rain to several parts of the state. Weather conditions are expected to vary between moderate showers and stronger spells, while gusty winds could add to the discomfort in many districts.
Winds reaching around 30 to 50 kilometres per hour are likely in some areas. People travelling through exposed roads and open areas have been advised to remain cautious, particularly during periods of heavy rain and strong winds.
Coastal Karnataka To See Rain And Gusty Winds
Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive moderate rainfall accompanied by winds of around 30 to 40 kilometres per hour.
Weather conditions along the coast could also remain unsettled. Fishermen have been advised to avoid venturing into the sea while strong winds and rough conditions persist.
Several districts in North Karnataka may also experience rain and stronger winds. Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, Dharwad and Gadag could see winds reaching around 40 to 50 kilometres per hour along with rainfall.
Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Haveri, Koppal, Raichur and Yadgir may receive rain in some areas, accompanied by gusty winds.
Bengaluru And South Interior Karnataka
Bengaluru city and rural areas are likely to experience cloudy conditions with light rain or drizzle. Winds could reach around 30 to 40 kilometres per hour at times.
Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Vijayanagara and Ballari may also experience similar conditions.
Residents should be prepared for sudden changes in weather, particularly while travelling during the day.
Malnad Region Could Remain Cool And Wet
The Malnad districts of Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Kodagu are expected to remain relatively cool, with rainfall likely in several areas.
The combination of rain and strong winds could affect road travel in some locations. Residents are advised to exercise caution around trees, construction areas and other exposed structures during periods of gusty weather.
