Sony has introduced its latest premium wireless headphones and earbuds in India featuring advanced AI powered audio enhanced noise cancellation premium design longer battery life and smart connectivity features.

Sony has expanded its premium audio portfolio in India with the launch of two flagship products designed for users who want top tier sound quality and intelligent features. The company has officially introduced the new WH1000XX wireless headphones and the WF1000XM6 true wireless earbuds, bringing several upgrades in audio performance, artificial intelligence powered features, and advanced noise cancellation technology. These devices are aimed at music lovers, professionals, travelers, and anyone looking for a premium listening experience.
The latest products reflect Sony’s continued focus on combining cutting edge technology with comfort and usability. Both devices feature enhanced AI capabilities that improve call quality, optimize sound according to the surrounding environment, and support smart voice assistants. The launch also highlights Sony’s efforts to strengthen its position in the premium audio segment where competition has become increasingly intense.
One of the biggest highlights of the new lineup is the improved noise cancellation system. Sony has equipped the WH1000XX headphones with its latest HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 along with the Integrated Processor V3. Together, these processors work to analyze surrounding sounds in real time and significantly reduce unwanted background noise. The headphones also use a Multi Noise Sensor system with twelve microphones, allowing them to deliver a more immersive listening experience whether users are traveling, working in busy environments, or simply relaxing with music.
The company has also introduced Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimiser, which automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation based on environmental conditions. This intelligent feature helps maintain consistent audio quality without requiring manual adjustments. Users can move between different locations while the headphones adapt automatically.
Sony has placed equal emphasis on audio quality. The WH1000XX headphones feature newly tuned 30 millimeter custom drivers developed under the company’s For the Music tuning program. These drivers are designed to deliver balanced sound with clear vocals, deep bass, and detailed instrument separation across different genres of music.
Music enthusiasts will also appreciate support for several premium audio technologies. These include Hi Res Audio, Hi Res Audio Wireless, DSEE Ultimate, 360 Reality Audio, 360 Upmix for Music Cinema and Gaming, a ten band equalizer, dedicated Game EQ mode, and Background Music mode. These options allow users to personalize their listening experience according to different entertainment needs.
Apart from entertainment, Sony has enhanced communication features through artificial intelligence. Beamforming microphones combined with AI powered voice processing and Precise Voice Pickup Technology help isolate the speaker’s voice during phone calls even in noisy surroundings. This makes conversations clearer for both parties and improves overall calling quality.
The WH1000XX headphones also include several smart convenience features such as Speak to Chat, Head Gesture Control, Adaptive Sound Control, Quick Attention mode, and Google Gemini integration. These features enable users to interact naturally with their devices while reducing the need for manual controls during everyday use.
Battery life continues to be one of Sony’s strengths. According to the company, the WH1000XX delivers up to twenty four hours of playback with active noise cancellation enabled. When noise cancellation is turned off, battery life can extend to approximately thirty two hours, making the headphones suitable for extended travel and long working sessions without frequent charging.
Sony has also refreshed the design of its flagship headphones. The WH1000XX comes with premium metal accents, a leather finish, a wider headband, and larger ear cushions to improve long term comfort. A magnetic carrying case is included for better portability and protection while traveling.
Alongside the headphones, Sony has launched the WF1000XM6 true wireless earbuds, which also receive major improvements over the previous generation. The company claims these earbuds deliver approximately twenty five percent better noise reduction compared to the earlier model, making them even more effective in blocking unwanted environmental sounds.
The earbuds are powered by Sony’s HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e along with an upgraded digital to analog converter and amplifier. This combination aims to provide improved sound clarity, richer details, and more natural audio performance across music, movies, and voice calls.
For communication, Sony has incorporated AI powered Voice Pickup Technology, Directed Microphones, and Bone Conduction Sensors into the WF1000XM6. These technologies work together to capture the user’s voice more accurately while minimizing surrounding noise during calls, ensuring better communication quality even in crowded locations.
The earbuds also feature Google Gemini support, Scene Based Listening, Auto Ambient Sound Mode, Speak to Chat, and Head Gesture Controls. These intelligent features automatically adjust the listening experience according to user activity and surroundings, providing greater convenience throughout the day.
Durability has also been considered with an IPX4 water resistance rating, making the earbuds suitable for workouts, light rain, and everyday outdoor use. Wireless charging through Qi compatible chargers and Battery Care technology further enhance convenience while helping maintain long term battery health.
Sony says the WF1000XM6 delivers a combined battery life of up to twenty four hours with the charging case. Users who need a quick power boost can take advantage of fast charging, where just five minutes of charging provides nearly fifty minutes of music playback.
Pricing places both products firmly in the premium category. The Sony WH1000XX wireless headphones are priced at Rs 59990 and are available in Black and Platinum color options. The Sony WF1000XM6 true wireless earbuds are priced at Rs 29990 and can be purchased in Black and Platinum Silver finishes.
Both products will go on sale from August 7 through Sony retail outlets, the official Sony online store, and major ecommerce platforms across India. With improved AI capabilities, enhanced sound quality, advanced noise cancellation, and refined premium designs, Sony aims to attract users looking for a complete flagship audio experience that combines performance, comfort, and intelligent features in one package.
