Vivo X500 Ultra Leak Suggests Triple 200 Megapixel Cameras in Major Imaging Upgrade
Fresh leaks indicate Vivo could introduce an advanced triple 200 megapixel camera system in the X500 Ultra alongside upgraded hardware improved imaging technology and expanded flagship smartphone lineup.

Vivo is reportedly preparing a significant camera upgrade for its next flagship smartphone series, with fresh leaks suggesting that the upcoming Vivo X500 Ultra could feature an ambitious triple 200 megapixel camera setup. Although the company has not officially confirmed the specifications, early information indicates that photography could become the biggest highlight of the new premium device.
According to details shared by well known tipster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Vivo is still finalizing the rear camera configuration for the X500 Ultra. One of the camera systems currently under testing reportedly includes three 200 megapixel periscope telephoto sensors, an unusual approach that could offer exceptional zoom capabilities and greater flexibility across different focal lengths.
The leaked information suggests that the three camera sensors may use optical formats measuring approximately 1 by 1.12 inch, 1 by 1.3 inch and 1 by 1.4 inch. If this setup reaches the final product, the X500 Ultra could become one of the most camera focused smartphones released by the company.
The upcoming flagship is expected to succeed the Vivo X300 Ultra, which was introduced earlier this year. The current model already offers a powerful camera system featuring a 200 megapixel primary camera, a 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera and a 50 megapixel ultra wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 50 megapixel front camera. The X300 Ultra also packs a 6600mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging, setting a high benchmark for its successor.
The X500 series is expected to include several models in addition to the Ultra variant. Reports suggest the lineup may feature the standard Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, Vivo X500 Pro Max and Vivo X500e, giving buyers multiple options across different price segments.
Another recent leak from the same source points to major improvements in the Vivo X500 Pro Max. The device is reportedly being tested with a new imaging system that includes a 50 megapixel Sony LOFIC primary camera. It may also feature a 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an 85mm focal length along with a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera, indicating that Vivo is placing strong emphasis on professional grade photography throughout the series.
Meanwhile, the Vivo X500 Pro is also expected to receive several notable upgrades. Reports suggest it could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and feature a compact 6.37 inch display. The camera setup may include a 50 megapixel main sensor, a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera and a 64 megapixel periscope telephoto camera. Battery capacity is also expected to improve significantly, with rumors pointing to a unit exceeding 7000mAh. The device could launch with Android 17 based OriginOS 7 out of the box.
Although these specifications are based on industry leaks and have not yet been confirmed by Vivo, they indicate that the company is working to strengthen its position in the flagship smartphone segment. Advanced camera hardware, larger batteries and more powerful processors appear to be central to the next generation of Vivo premium devices.
More official details regarding the Vivo X500 series, including launch dates, pricing and final specifications, are expected to emerge in the coming months as the company moves closer to unveiling its next flagship lineup.
