Huawei FreeClip 2 S Launches Globally With Open Ear Design and Up to 38 Hours Battery Life
Huawei has introduced the FreeClip 2 S wireless earbuds with dual drivers AI powered audio features Bluetooth 6 connectivity spatial sound and fast charging for global consumers.

Huawei has officially expanded its premium audio portfolio with the global launch of the FreeClip 2 S wireless earbuds. Introduced alongside the Huawei Pura 90s smartphone series, the new earbuds bring several advanced audio technologies, extended battery life, and an open ear design aimed at users who prefer comfort without compromising on sound quality.
One of the standout features of the FreeClip 2 S is its unique open ear C Bridge design. Unlike traditional in ear earbuds, this design allows users to remain aware of their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls. Huawei says the updated ergonomic construction is designed for long hours of comfortable wear, making the earbuds suitable for commuting, office work, and outdoor activities.
The FreeClip 2 S is powered by dual 10.8 mm drivers that are engineered to deliver improved bass response and balanced audio performance. The earbuds support a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, allowing them to reproduce both deep low frequencies and detailed high notes. Huawei has also upgraded the internal driver system to provide a richer and more natural listening experience.
To enhance audio performance further, the earbuds feature AI powered neural processing for sound and voice optimization. They support adaptive volume adjustment that automatically responds to surrounding noise levels, adaptive voice enhancement for clearer conversations, and dynamic head tracking combined with spatial audio for a more immersive listening experience while watching videos or listening to compatible content.
Huawei has also introduced Reverse Sound Wave technology to minimize sound leakage. This feature is designed to keep audio more private while reducing the amount of sound that escapes into the surrounding environment. For voice calls, the earbuds include three microphones supported by AI based call noise reduction, helping users communicate more clearly even in busy outdoor locations.
Music enthusiasts will appreciate the customization options available with the FreeClip 2 S. The earbuds come with a 10 band equalizer and multiple preset sound profiles, allowing listeners to tailor the audio output to their personal preferences. These settings can be managed through the Huawei Audio Connect application, which also offers additional controls and software features.
Connectivity has received an upgrade as well. The FreeClip 2 S supports Bluetooth 6.0 for improved wireless stability, faster pairing, and efficient power management. The earbuds can remain connected to two devices simultaneously, making it convenient for users who frequently switch between smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
Battery performance is another major highlight. Huawei claims the earbuds can provide up to nine hours of playback on a single charge. When paired with the charging case, the total battery life extends to as much as 38 hours, reducing the need for frequent charging during travel or extended daily use.
Each earbud houses a 60 mAh battery, while the charging case includes a larger 537 mAh battery. Charging is supported through a USB Type C port, and the case also offers wireless charging with support for up to 3 W charging power. Huawei says just 10 minutes of charging can provide approximately three hours of music playback, making the earbuds useful for users who need a quick power boost before heading out.
According to the company, the earbuds require around 40 minutes to charge fully, while the charging case takes approximately 50 minutes. Charging both the earbuds and the case together can be completed in roughly one hour.
The Huawei FreeClip 2 S is available in Deep Sea Blue and Space Silver color options. In Malaysia, the earbuds are priced at MYR 899, while customers in Europe can purchase them for EUR 229. In the United Kingdom, they are available for GBP 199. With premium audio technologies, AI powered features, fast charging, and an innovative open ear design, Huawei is positioning the FreeClip 2 S as a strong contender in the premium wireless earbuds segment.
