Karnataka Weather Forecast Predicts Rain And Strong Winds In Several Districts Over Next Five Days

The weather department expects light to moderate rainfall and gusty winds across many Karnataka districts, while some northern regions may continue experiencing relatively dry conditions during the forecast period.

Several parts of Karnataka are expected to witness light to moderate rainfall over the next five days, according to the latest weather forecast. While the southwest monsoon has weakened in some areas, weather conditions remain favourable for rain in many coastal, Malnad, and interior districts. At the same time, a few regions in northern Karnataka continue to face relatively dry conditions.

The India Meteorological Department has indicated that strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour may accompany rainfall in several districts, especially during the early part of the forecast period. Residents have been advised to stay updated on local weather conditions, particularly in areas likely to experience gusty winds.

The coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall over the coming days. Along with showers, strong winds are also likely in these regions. Fishermen and people living along the coastline have been advised to remain cautious while weather conditions remain unsettled.

In the Malnad region, districts including Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, and Hassan are also expected to receive moderate rainfall. These areas may experience wind speeds of up to 40 kilometres per hour during the initial phase of the forecast, creating brief periods of rough weather.

Rainfall is also likely in parts of northern interior Karnataka. Belagavi, Dharwad, and Haveri are among the districts expected to receive scattered showers over the next few days. Meanwhile, districts such as Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Koppal, and Gadag may experience strong winds even if rainfall remains limited in some locations.

Southern interior Karnataka is also expected to remain under the influence of changing weather conditions. Districts including Ballari, Vijayanagara, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Ramanagara, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur, and Kolar may witness gusty winds along with isolated rainfall in some areas.

Although widespread heavy rainfall is not expected during the forecast period, the weather department says several districts across the state are likely to continue experiencing intermittent showers and breezy conditions. These weather patterns are expected to be more noticeable in coastal and hilly regions.

Even as many districts prepare for rain, some parts of northern Karnataka, including Ballari and nearby areas, continue to face relatively dry conditions due to uneven monsoon activity. The contrasting weather pattern highlights the varying impact of the monsoon across different parts of the state over the coming days.
