A Yellow Alert has been issued for Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts due to the likelihood of heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. Wind speeds are expected to reach 30–40 km/h, with isolated places likely to receive heavy rain. Meanwhile, Uttara Kannada district is also expected to experience light to moderate rainfall along with gusty winds.
Rain Forecast for North Karnataka:
The weather department has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms across several districts of North Interior Karnataka, including Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir. Residents in these districts have been advised to remain alert as isolated thunderstorms and intermittent rain are expected.
Malnad and South Interior Karnataka:
The weather department has forecast moderate rainfall across many parts of Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mysuru, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar districts, with cloudy conditions likely to persist throughout the region over the coming days.
Rain Likely in Bengaluru and Other Districts:
The weather department has forecast light to moderate rainfall in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ballari, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kolar, Ramanagara, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagara districts, with scattered showers expected in several areas over the coming days.
