Metro Passengers Good News: BMRCL Deploys Additional Trains on Yellow Line from Today

Trains will now be available every 7 minutes, catering especially to employees and students. Previously, passengers had to wait 9 minutes for the next train during peak hours.

Metro Passengers: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has delivered fantastic news to the passengers of ‘Namma Metro’s’ Yellow Line, which serves as a vital lifeline for the transportation system of Bengaluru.

To manage the continuously rising public rush on this route, two additional new metro trains have been introduced, effective from today. With this major decision by the corporation, the total number of trains operating on the Yellow Line will increase from 8 to 10.

This increase in the number of trains will boost the frequency of trips, saving passengers from the hassle of waiting for a long time at stations.

Peak Hours (Morning & Evening): Trains will now be available every 7 minutes, catering especially to employees and students. Previously, passengers had to wait 9 minutes for the next train during peak hours.

Non-Peak Hours: The waiting time between trains has been significantly reduced from 14 minutes to 10 minutes.

Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): According to reports, for the convenience of passengers, trains will operate at an interval of every 10 minutes from morning till night.

This new update by BMRCL has brought immense relief to lakhs of commuters traveling on this Yellow Line, which connects major commercial and industrial zones between Rajajinagar and Bommasandra.
