Motorola’s upcoming Edge 70 Pro Plus has started attracting attention ahead of its expected launch, with several leaks revealing key details about the smartphone. The device has recently appeared on benchmark platforms, giving smartphone enthusiasts an early look at its processor, camera setup and overall performance capabilities.
According to the latest reports, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus was spotted on Geekbench, where details about its chipset and memory configuration surfaced online. The smartphone is expected to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, a sub flagship chipset built on a 4nm architecture. Industry observers believe the chip is designed to deliver flagship level performance while maintaining better power efficiency for upper mid range smartphones.
The benchmark listing also hints that Motorola is focusing heavily on performance with this device. The phone reportedly scored 1722 points in the single core test and 5623 points in the multi core benchmark results. These numbers indicate that the smartphone could handle gaming, multitasking and AI driven tasks smoothly.
Leaks suggest the device may launch with 12GB RAM as standard, while another higher end variant with 16GB RAM could also be introduced later. The smartphone is expected to run Android 16 out of the box, making it one of Motorola’s first phones to arrive with the latest Android software version preinstalled.
Camera specifications have also become a major talking point around the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus. Reports claim the smartphone will feature a 50 megapixel primary camera equipped with a Sony LYT 710 sensor. Alongside the main lens, the phone is expected to include another 50 megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom support. These camera upgrades suggest Motorola may target users looking for a strong photography experience in the premium mid range category.
Wireless charging support is also expected to be included in the smartphone, adding another flagship style feature to the device. While official battery details are still unknown, the addition of wireless charging hints at Motorola’s attempt to compete with premium smartphones from rival brands.
The company is reportedly planning to introduce the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus in multiple Pantone inspired color options. Leaked shades include Pantone Zinfandel, Pantone Stormy Sea and Pantone Chicory Coffee, giving the device a stylish and premium visual identity.
Industry reports suggest the smartphone could be priced around 50000 rupees in India. Although Motorola has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, leaks indicate that the device may debut sometime in June.
With a powerful processor, advanced dual camera setup and premium design elements, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated upper mid range smartphones from the brand this year.
