A strict warning has been issued to coastal fishermen advising them not to venture into the sea due to strong cyclonic winds developing over parts of the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 40 to 50 km/h, and may even reach up to 60 km/h in some areas. Fishermen who are already out at sea have been instructed to return to the coast immediately. Following this warning, fishing boats are currently returning to the Malpe backwaters.
