Realme 16T Leak Reveals New Chipset and Key Features Ahead of Launch
Upcoming Realme 16T expected to arrive as successor to 15T with MediaTek processor Android 16 and multiple color options while Geekbench listing hints at performance and design changes before official launch

The upcoming Realme 16T has started creating buzz even before its official announcement, with fresh leaks revealing important details about its performance, design and expected features. The device is set to arrive as the successor to the Realme 15T and is already being closely tracked after appearing on benchmarking platforms.
A recent Geekbench listing has revealed that the phone carries the model number RMX5268, which is believed to belong to the Realme 16T. The listing suggests that the device will run on Android 16 and feature a MediaTek chipset based on the MT6835 architecture.
Interestingly, the processor configuration points toward a Dimensity 6300 class chip. The setup includes a combination of high performance and efficiency cores, with clock speeds reaching up to 2.40GHz. Graphics support is expected to come from the Mali G57 MC2 GPU, which is commonly used in mid range devices.
Performance scores from the benchmark show 784 points in single core testing and 2007 points in multi core performance. While these numbers indicate decent everyday performance, the phone may be positioned slightly below its predecessor in raw power, according to early reports.
Memory details also surfaced in the listing, showing around 7.45GB of RAM, which is likely to be marketed as 8GB in retail versions. This suggests that Realme may offer multiple configurations when the device launches officially.
The brand Realme is expected to launch the phone in three color options, along with multiple storage variants. Early leaks indicate configurations such as 6GB with 128GB storage and higher variants offering up to 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
In terms of design and positioning, the Realme 16T is expected to sit in the budget to mid range category, offering balanced performance for everyday users. It is also rumored to be slightly more affordable than higher positioned models in the series.
The chipset discussion becomes more interesting when compared with earlier reports suggesting variations of the Dimensity 6400 series. Some leaks point to a possible upgrade path, while others suggest the device may stick to the 6300 level platform, depending on the market.
Looking back at its predecessor, the Realme 15T launched with a strong feature set including a large AMOLED display, high resolution cameras and a massive battery with fast charging support. The new model is expected to continue that focus on value but may adjust performance priorities.
Color options are expected to include shades like green, black and red, giving users more personalization choices. The final design details are still under wraps, but early leaks suggest a familiar Realme styling approach with subtle refinements.
Although the company has not officially confirmed the launch date, the appearance on Geekbench strongly indicates that the announcement is not far away. With more details expected soon, the Realme 16T is shaping up to be another competitive entry in the mid range smartphone segment.
