iQOO Z11 Series Global Launch Set for May 6 With New Chipset Twist

Upcoming iQOO smartphones spotted on Geekbench reveal different processor from China variant along with up to 12GB RAM and multiple storage options ahead of official global debut event

The upcoming global launch of the iQOO Z11 series is generating buzz as fresh details emerge just days before its official unveiling. Scheduled for May 6 in Malaysia, the event will introduce two models, including the standard Z11 and its sibling iQOO Z11x.

Interestingly, benchmark listings have revealed a key difference between the global and Chinese variants of the device. While the China model runs on a MediaTek processor, the global version has surfaced with a Qualcomm chipset. According to Geekbench data, the phone carries model number I2512 and is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm architecture.

Performance scores from the listing suggest a solid mid range offering. The device reportedly achieved 1214 points in single core testing and 3091 points in multi core performance, indicating reliable day to day and multitasking capabilities.

The brand iQOO appears to be positioning the Z11 series as a strong contender in the competitive mid segment market. Ahead of the launch, the smartphones have also been listed on official regional platforms, giving a glimpse of their design and configuration options.

The standard Z11 is expected to arrive in blue and black finishes, with storage variants including 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and a higher 12GB RAM option paired with the same storage capacity. Design teasers suggest a pill shaped camera module on the rear.

On the other hand, the Z11x is likely to target slightly more budget conscious buyers. It is expected to be offered in silver and black colors, with configurations such as 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB storage. This model is said to feature a square shaped camera module, setting it apart visually from the standard version.

Although full specifications have not yet been officially confirmed, the early listings and benchmark appearances have already set expectations high. The shift in chipset strategy also hints at a tailored approach for different markets, which is becoming increasingly common among smartphone makers.

The earlier China launch of the series in March had already created interest among tech enthusiasts. Now, with the global debut approaching, attention is turning toward pricing and availability in other regions, including India.

With competition intensifying in the mid range smartphone segment, the iQOO Z11 series could play a key role in strengthening the company’s presence beyond its home market.
