Vi Expands Prepaid Plans with 180 Day Unlimited Data Offers and Budget Streaming Bundle

Vodafone Idea introduces new NonStop Hero prepaid plans featuring long validity unlimited calling full day data benefits and affordable streaming access aimed at boosting value for heavy data users in India

Telecom users in India have received a fresh set of options as Vodafone Idea rolls out new prepaid plans designed to offer more flexibility, longer validity, and enhanced data benefits. The latest lineup focuses heavily on unlimited usage models, catering to customers who rely on constant internet access throughout the day.

Among the key highlights is the expansion of the NonStop Hero series, which brings 180 day validity plans with unlimited calling and daily SMS benefits. These plans are targeted at users who prefer long term recharge options instead of frequent monthly renewals, offering a more convenient usage experience.

Interestingly, the rollout comes at a time when data consumption habits are changing rapidly across India. Users are increasingly shifting toward streaming, gaming, and continuous online connectivity, pushing telecom operators to rethink traditional data caps and introduce more flexible offerings.

The entry level plan in the new portfolio starts at 325 rupees and includes 28 days of validity along with unlimited voice calls, 10GB data, and 300 SMS messages. However, once the data limit is exhausted, additional usage is charged separately, which may not suit users with high data consumption needs.

On the premium end, Vi has introduced long validity options priced around 2099 rupees and 2180 rupees depending on the region. These plans offer 180 days validity with unlimited calling, daily SMS limits, and what the company describes as full day unlimited data usage. However, the actual experience may depend on network availability and coverage conditions.

It is worth noting that similar 180 day plans priced at 1749 rupees and 2399 rupees are also being continued in select circles. This gives customers a wider range of choices depending on their budget and usage patterns, allowing them to pick plans that match their needs more closely.

One of the most talked about features is the concept of full day unlimited data. Unlike traditional capped daily data limits, these plans allow unrestricted usage within policy terms. However, the benefit is expected to be fully effective only in areas with strong 5G coverage, while users in non 5G regions will rely on 4G networks where speeds may vary.

In a separate offering aimed at entertainment focused users, Vi has also introduced a 44 rupee add on pack. This includes 1GB data for one day along with a 28 day subscription to JioHotstar Mobile, making it a budget friendly option for short term streaming and sports viewing.

With these updates, Vi appears to be strengthening its prepaid segment by targeting both heavy data users and cost conscious consumers. The focus on longer validity and unlimited usage reflects a clear response to changing digital habits in the country, where connectivity is becoming a daily necessity rather than an occasional requirement.
