Tesla eyes fresh India push with possible new launch next week amid pricing challenges

The company had previously introduced the Tesla Model Y, but high import duties significantly pushed up its price, limiting its appeal among buyers. As a result, sales remained modest, with the company reportedly selling only a few hundred units over the past year.
Sources indicate that the upcoming launch could feature the Tesla Model 3, which sits below the Model Y in the global lineup. This model is generally positioned as a more accessible option in international markets, and its arrival in India could help Tesla attract a wider customer base if priced competitively.
