Apple Foldable iPhone May Use Special Adhesive to Reduce Screen Crease Effect

Upcoming foldable iPhone reportedly features advanced display bonding technology larger dual screens and powerful 2 nanometer processor aiming to deliver seamless folding experience and premium performance in future devices

The foldable smartphone market is once again in focus as Apple prepares to enter the segment with its first device, widely referred to in reports as the iPhone Ultra. Early leaks suggest that the company is working on multiple advanced technologies to ensure a smoother and more durable folding experience.

One of the most interesting developments linked to the device is the possible use of a specially optimized clear adhesive known as OCA. This material is already used in the industry for bonding glass layers and display panels, but Apple may refine its application further to reduce visible creasing on the foldable screen.

Reports indicate that this adhesive could play a key role in improving long term durability, especially during repeated folding and unfolding. It is expected to help maintain display quality by minimizing microscopic imperfections that usually appear in foldable panels over time.

At the same time, industry insiders suggest that Apple may also experiment with advanced manufacturing methods for the device hinge. Tipsters claim that 3D printed components could be used in the hinge mechanism to achieve better precision and reduce strain on the display. Apple has already used similar 3D printing techniques in products like the Apple Watch and certain hardware components, showing its willingness to explore new production methods.

Interestingly, this approach is not entirely new to the industry. Companies such as Oppo have previously used 3D printed materials in foldable phones to improve internal structure and reduce pressure on the screen crease area.

On the hardware side, the foldable iPhone is expected to feature Apple next generation processor built on a 2 nanometer process. This would mark a significant leap in performance and energy efficiency, positioning the device among the most powerful smartphones in the market.

The display configuration is also rumored to be ambitious. The inner screen may measure around 7.58 inches, while the outer display could be approximately 5.25 inches. When unfolded, the interface is expected to offer an experience similar to an iPad, blending smartphone portability with tablet like productivity.

Battery performance is another area where Apple is reportedly focusing heavily. The foldable device is expected to house one of the largest batteries ever seen in an iPhone, potentially surpassing even recent flagship foldables from competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 in capacity.

While Apple has not officially confirmed any details, the growing number of leaks suggests that the company is carefully preparing its entry into a segment currently dominated by Samsung. If these developments prove accurate, Apple foldable iPhone could mark a major shift in the premium smartphone landscape.
