Xiaomi 17 Max Launch Brings Massive 8000mAh Battery and 200MP Camera Power

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17 Max, a smartphone that has been in the spotlight for quite some time due to its massive battery and high end specifications. The device is being positioned as the final and most powerful addition to the Xiaomi 17 series, combining top tier performance with long lasting endurance.

The highlight of the Xiaomi 17 Max is its enormous 8000mAh battery, which is the largest ever used in the series. Along with this, the smartphone also offers 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging support, allowing users to power other devices when needed. Despite the large battery, the phone maintains a relatively slim profile with a premium finish.

On the pricing front, Xiaomi has introduced the device in its domestic market first. The base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 4,799 yuan, which is approximately Rs 68,000. The top variant featuring 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 5,799 yuan, roughly Rs 82,000. The phone is available for pre order and will go on sale from May 25 in China, offered in Pixel Black, Sky Blue, and White color options.

The Xiaomi 17 Max comes with a large 6.9 inch AMOLED display offering 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR technologies, 3500 nits peak brightness, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate for smoother interaction. The display is also protected by Dragon Crystal 3.0 glass and supports full DCI P3 color gamut for vibrant visuals.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3nm process. It is paired with Adreno GPU and Qualcomm AI Engine for improved graphics and artificial intelligence performance. The phone offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage, making it suitable for heavy multitasking and gaming users. For security, it includes an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

Camera performance is another major attraction of the Xiaomi 17 Max. The smartphone features a 200 megapixel primary sensor with Samsung HP9 technology and f1.65 aperture. It is supported by a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera offering a 102 degree field of view. On the front, the device carries a 32 megapixel selfie camera capable of delivering sharp images and video calls.

Connectivity options on the Xiaomi 17 Max include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type C, and an IR blaster. The phone measures 162.9 by 77.6 by 8.2 millimeters and weighs around 225 grams, balancing size and usability despite its large battery capacity.
