Oppo is preparing to expand its smartphone portfolio in India with the upcoming F35 series. The new lineup is expected to include the standard Oppo F35 and a higher positioned Oppo F35 Pro, with both models reportedly bringing different rear designs and upgraded hardware.
The company has already started teasing the upcoming series in India, although an official launch date has not been announced yet. Following its Indian debut, the smartphones could also reach other international markets.
Colour options are expected to be one of the notable differences between the two models. Reports suggest that the Oppo F35 could be available in silver, pink and purple, while the Oppo F35 Pro may arrive in orange, light blue and brown.
Leaked images have also shown different styling for the rear panels. One variant appears to have a floral pattern, while another reportedly uses a wave inspired design. Both phones are expected to have flat rear panels with rounded corners.
The standard Oppo F35 is expected to use a slim pill shaped camera module. Two rear cameras appear to sit next to each other, with a circular flash element positioned beside them. The design gives the phone a relatively simple appearance while keeping the camera area visually distinct.
Display specifications could be another common feature across the series. The Oppo F35 and Oppo F35 Pro are expected to feature flat AMOLED panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate should provide smoother scrolling and animations during everyday use.
Camera upgrades are also reportedly planned. Both smartphones could feature a 50 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The final details of the rear camera sensors have not yet been confirmed.
Performance is expected to differ between the two models. The standard Oppo F35 could use a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 series chipset, while the Oppo F35 Pro may be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform.
Battery capacity could be one of the biggest highlights if current reports prove accurate. The upcoming smartphones are tipped to feature batteries of up to 10000mAh. However, the exact capacity for each model and the supported charging technology remain unclear.
Some reports have also suggested that the hardware of the Oppo F35 could share similarities with other upcoming Oppo devices. The exact relationship between these models has not been officially explained by Oppo, so the reported specifications should be treated as preliminary.
The F35 series is expected to sit alongside other upcoming Oppo smartphones in the Indian market. The company is also preparing to introduce the Oppo K14 Lite in India on September 16. That smartphone is expected to feature a 6.75 inch 120Hz display, a Unisoc T7250 processor and a 7000mAh battery.
The Oppo K14 Lite is also expected to feature a dual rear camera system and run Android 16 based ColorOS 16. Its positioning could give Oppo another option in the more affordable smartphone segment.
For the Oppo F35 series, the focus appears to be on a combination of large batteries, high refresh rate AMOLED displays, upgraded selfie cameras and distinctive styling. The possible six colour choices could also give buyers more variety when the phones eventually reach stores.
Oppo has yet to reveal the official launch date, pricing, complete specifications and availability details for the F35 and F35 Pro in India. More information is likely to emerge ahead of the companys formal announcement.
