Motorola Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra to launch: Feature, price

Motorola has recently introduced the Motorola Razr 40 and 40 Ultra models in China and subsequently announced the availability of the Razr 40 Ultra in India. The company has created an Amazon microsite featuring the official specifications of the device’s latest iteration.

The Razr 40 Ultra, as mentioned on the microsite, will showcase the “world’s largest” cover display and claim the title of the thinnest flip smartphone ever produced. These smartphones were initially launched in China on June 1 and feature 6.9-inch pOLED displays.

The Razr 40 Ultra comes with a large 3.6-inch outer display boasting a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Razr 40 has a smaller 1.5-inch cover screen. According to Gadgets 360, a media publication, the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra, are scheduled to be launched in India on July 3.

Featuring impressive specifications, the Motorola Razr 40 and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, originally launched in China, come with 6.9-inch foldable pOLED displays offering a refresh rate of 165Hz and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The Ultra model showcases a 3.6-inch pOLED outer screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Razr 40 has a smaller 1.5-inch cover display.

In terms of processing power, the Motorola Razr 40 is equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, while the Razr 40 Ultra boasts the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. When it comes to photography, the Motorola Razr 40 features a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

On the other hand, the Razr 40 Ultra sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 13-megapixel secondary ultra-wide-angle camera. For capturing selfies and engaging in video calls, both handsets offer a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Storage options go up to 512GB on these devices, and they are backed by 3,800mAh and 4,200mAh batteries, respectively. The Motorola Razr 40 supports 33W charging, while the Razr 40 Ultra supports 30W charging and also includes 8W wireless charging, as per the company’s claims.

The listings for the phones do not provide information regarding pricing or availability, but these details are expected to be disclosed during the launch event. In China, the Motorola Razr 40 starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 46,000), while the Razr 40 Ultra is priced from CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs. 66,000).
