Motorola has expanded its foldable smartphone portfolio with the launch of three new devices, the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, Motorola Razr 70 Plus, and Motorola Razr 70. The lineup is also being introduced in the United States under slightly different names, but with largely identical specifications.

The new series highlights Motorola’s continued push into the premium foldable segment, combining flagship level performance with refined design and upgraded display technology. Pre orders in the United States are scheduled to begin from mid May, with wider availability expected across global markets including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America in the coming months.

At the top of the lineup, the Razr 70 Ultra stands out with its powerful hardware and dual display setup. It features a large 7 inch internal pOLED LTPO display with 1.5K resolution and a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 165Hz. The outer screen measures 4 inches and also supports a high refresh rate, making it functional for quick interactions without unfolding the device. Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and fast UFS storage options.

The Ultra model also emphasizes camera capabilities, offering a 50 megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization along with a 50 megapixel ultra wide lens. A 50 megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls. Battery capacity is rated at 5000mAh, supported by 68W fast wired charging and wireless charging capabilities.

Positioned in the middle, the Razr 70 Plus offers a slightly toned down but still premium experience. It comes with a 6.9 inch foldable display and a 4 inch external screen, both designed for smooth performance with high refresh rates. The device runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and includes up to 12GB RAM. Camera specifications remain strong with dual 50 megapixel sensors on the rear, while the front camera is rated at 32 megapixels.

The Razr 70 Plus is powered by a 4500mAh battery with support for fast charging and wireless charging, making it suitable for daily use while maintaining a slim foldable design. Like the Ultra, it also carries an IP48 rating for protection against dust and water exposure.

The base model, Razr 70, is aimed at making foldable technology more accessible. It features a 6.96 inch internal display and a smaller 3.63 inch external screen. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7450X processor, it offers 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, ensuring balanced performance for everyday tasks.

Camera setup on the standard model includes a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 50 megapixel ultra wide lens, while the front camera is 32 megapixels. It houses a 4800mAh battery with support for fast and wireless charging, delivering a reliable experience for regular users.

Across the lineup, Motorola has included modern connectivity features such as 5G support, Wi Fi 7 or Wi Fi 6E depending on the model, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Security is handled through side mounted fingerprint sensors, maintaining convenience in the foldable form factor.

In terms of pricing, the Razr 70 Ultra is positioned as a premium flagship with a price tag of around 1499 dollars, while the Razr 70 Plus and Razr 70 come at comparatively lower price points, making the series accessible to a wider audience.

With this launch, Motorola is aiming to strengthen its position in the foldable smartphone space by offering a range of devices that cater to different user needs, from high end performance seekers to those looking to experience foldable technology at a more affordable price.
