Lumio has launched its new Aura 5 active bookshelf speaker in India, targeting users who want a more powerful audio setup for music, movies and home entertainment. The system combines a compact bookshelf design with a dual speaker configuration and several wired and wireless connectivity options.
The Lumio Aura 5 is priced at ₹24,999, although the company is offering an early bird price of ₹19,999. Additional bank offers available during the launch period could reduce the effective purchase price further.
Sales are scheduled to begin on October 15 through Amazon. The speaker will also be available as part of the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 sale, giving customers another opportunity to purchase it with promotional offers.
At the heart of the system are two 4.5 inch aluminium woofers paired with two 1 inch silk dome tweeters. Lumio says this configuration is designed to deliver a balanced audio experience across music and entertainment. The system can produce up to 200W of peak output and 100W of continuous output.
The speaker is rated to deliver a sound pressure level of up to 105dB at a distance of one metre, according to the company. Its frequency response ranges from 35Hz to 20,000Hz, covering a broad portion of the audible range.
Lumio has also included DGS audio tuning with three listening modes called Studio, Cinema and Groove. Users can switch between these modes depending on the type of content they are playing. The company is positioning the Cinema mode in particular as an option for movie and television viewing.
For users who prefer higher quality audio, the Aura 5 supports up to 24 bit and 48kHz lossless playback. Connectivity is another major part of the setup, with HDMI ARC, USB, optical, coaxial and 3.5mm audio inputs available for wired connections.
Wireless playback is supported through Bluetooth 5.4. This allows the speakers to be connected to compatible smartphones, tablets and other devices without relying on a physical audio cable.
The package also includes Lumio’s Minion OLED remote, which connects through Bluetooth and allows users to control various speaker settings from a distance. The company also plans to introduce a dedicated application for Android and iOS devices.
Lumio is offering a one year comprehensive warranty for the Aura 5 speakers, while the Minion OLED remote comes with a six month warranty. Home service is also included as part of the support offering.
With its combination of high output, multiple inputs and dedicated listening modes, the Lumio Aura 5 is positioned as a home audio system for customers looking beyond conventional compact speakers. Its early bird pricing could also make the launch period particularly relevant for buyers considering a new entertainment setup.
