Lenovo has introduced the Legion Y960 gaming headset in China featuring a six driver audio system AI noise cancellation detachable mic RGB lighting and multi device wired connectivity for gamers

Lenovo has officially expanded its gaming audio lineup with the launch of the Legion Y960 headset in China. Designed for serious gamers and multimedia users, the headset focuses on immersive sound performance backed by a multi driver setup and advanced audio tuning features.
One of the biggest highlights of the Legion Y960 is its 6 driver configuration that delivers a true 7.1 channel surround sound experience. It combines two 40mm dynamic drivers with four 20mm secondary drivers, creating a layered audio output that aims to capture both deep bass and fine details. The headset also carries Hi Res Audio certification and supports a wide frequency range from 20Hz to 40kHz, making it suitable for gaming as well as music and movie playback.
Lenovo has also focused heavily on customization. The headset comes with three built in sound modes including Game, Music and Cinema. Users can switch between these profiles using an inline controller, which also allows them to manage lighting effects and other quick settings without interrupting gameplay.
In terms of design, the Legion Y960 follows a closed back over ear structure with soft cushioned ear cups for passive noise isolation. The headband uses a suspended dual sided design that distributes weight evenly, improving comfort during long gaming sessions. The total weight of the headset is around 346 grams, making it relatively lightweight for a multi driver setup.
The microphone system is another strong point of this headset. It features a detachable unidirectional mic with a cardioid pickup pattern, which helps focus on the user’s voice while reducing background noise. Lenovo has also added AI based environmental noise cancellation to improve clarity during voice chats and online calls.
Connectivity is fully wired and does not rely on Bluetooth, ensuring stable low latency performance. The headset supports both USB Type C and USB Type A connections, along with a dedicated 3.5mm microphone interface. This allows compatibility with a wide range of devices including PCs, laptops, gaming consoles, handheld devices and even smartphones.
RGB lighting is included for users who prefer a more gaming focused aesthetic. The headset supports 16 million color lighting effects and is compatible with Microsoft Dynamic Lighting on Windows. The inline controller also includes dedicated buttons for sound mode switching, volume control and microphone mute for quick access during gameplay.
Pricing for the Lenovo Legion Y960 in China is set at 599 CNY which is roughly around 7100 rupees. It is available in Black and Silver color options through Lenovo’s official online channels and selected retailers.
With its multi driver audio system, advanced noise cancellation features and versatile connectivity, the Legion Y960 positions itself as a strong option for gamers looking for a premium wired headset experience without moving into a very high price segment.
