A dedicated launch event for the series in India took place on August 21, and the phones are now available in the country.

Here’s an overview of the new phones:

Google Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL

The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL are Google’s latest flagship smartphones. They are powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, which is designed to handle more powerful AI tasks on the device itself.

Key Features:

Design: Both phones feature a refined design with a satin metal frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Pro model has a matte back with a shiny frame, while the standard Pixel 10 has a glossy back.

Display: The Pixel 10 Pro has a 6.3-inch Super Actua Display, while the larger 10 Pro XL boasts a 6.8-inch display. Both are LTPO OLED panels with a smooth 1-120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,300 nits.

Cameras: The camera hardware is largely the same as the previous generation, but with significant software enhancements. They feature a triple-camera system with a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultrawide, and a 48MP telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom. The software now includes an AI-powered “ProRes Zoom” that can go up to 100x.

AI: The phones are deeply integrated with the new Gemini Nano for on-device AI capabilities. Features like “Gemini Live” and “Pixel Screenshots” promise to enhance user experience.

Charging and Battery: The Pixel 10 Pro has a 4,870mAh battery with 30W fast charging, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL comes with a larger 5,200mAh battery and a faster 45W wired charging speed. Both support 15W Pixelsnap wireless charging (Qi2 certified).

Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold:

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is Google’s second foldable phone and a direct competitor to other foldable devices on the market.

Key Features:

Display: It has a 6.4-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner Super Actua Flex display, both with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

Durability: The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the world’s first foldable phone with a full IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has a multi-alloy steel hinge with an aerospace-grade aluminum cover.

Performance and Battery: It is powered by the new Tensor G5 chip and has a 5,015mAh battery with 30W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Pricing in India: Starts at Rs 1,72,999 for the 16GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
