Google Introduces Lyria 3 Pro AI Tool to Transform Music Creation Experience

The upgraded AI music platform from Google enables users to generate longer tracks with enhanced control, mood based composition, and seamless integration across apps for creators and developers worldwide

Google has rolled out its latest artificial intelligence powered music tool, Lyria 3 Pro, marking a significant upgrade over its earlier version. The new system is designed to make music creation more flexible, offering users deeper creative control and the ability to generate tracks that feel more structured and expressive.

Unlike its predecessor, which limited compositions to short clips, Lyria 3 Pro allows users to create music tracks up to three minutes in length. This extended duration opens the door for more complete and layered compositions, making the tool more practical for creators looking to produce full songs rather than quick snippets.

One of the standout aspects of the new model is its improved understanding of musical structure. Users can guide the AI by specifying different elements of a song such as intro, verses, chorus, and bridge. This level of input helps the system produce tracks that feel closer to professionally arranged music rather than random sound generation.

Google has also emphasized customization as a key improvement. The tool responds to prompts that describe mood, genre, themes, or even personal memories. Based on these inputs, Lyria 3 Pro generates audio that aligns with the intended tone. It can also analyze images and videos to create matching background music, making it useful for content creators working across different formats.

The company has made the tool accessible through multiple platforms. Businesses can use it via Vertex AI, while developers have access through Google AI Studio. It is currently available in public preview across several Google services, including Google Vids, and can also be used by paid subscribers of the Gemini app.

To address concerns around AI generated content, Google has integrated SynthID into the system. This technology helps identify AI created audio, adding a layer of transparency and traceability. The company noted that the model has been trained using a mix of licensed data, including material sourced from platforms such as YouTube.

With Lyria 3 Pro, Google is positioning itself strongly in the evolving AI driven creative space, offering a tool that not only simplifies music production but also adapts to the personal style and intent of its users.
