State government ordered to change name of Public Education Department to School Education Department

Bengaluru: SSLC Examination Board and Pre-Graduate Education Board were already merged and renamed as Department of School Education and Literacy. After this, the government ordered to rename the Department of Public Instruction as Department of School Education. State government order to change name of Public Education Department to School Education Department.

In this regard, the Under Secretary to the Government of School Education and Literacy Department has issued a memorandum, instructing the Commissioner of Public Education and all the field offices under it and the nameplates of all district, cluster schools and offices of the state to be renamed as School Education Department with immediate effect.

Apart from this, the post of Commissioner of Public Education Department has also been designated as Commissioner, School Education Department. Additional commissionerate, Kalaburgi and Dharwad, all Directorates of the Department and all District and Taluk under them, Block Offices, Divisional Level Offices, District Level Deputy Director (Administration) and Diet Principal Office, Block Level Field Education Officer and Field Resource Coordinator Office and Cluster Level Ordered to be designated as school education in the offices.

The post of State Planning Director, Comprehensive Education Karnataka has been designated as State Planning Director, School Education Department. The office of State Planning Director and all the offices under it have been designated and ordered as school education.

Apart from this, it has designated as school education in all primary and high schools (Primary and High School). It has been suggested that steps be taken to write the newly designated designation as School Education Department in all the name boards of all the offices and schools concerned.
