Praveen Murder Case: Liquor ban in these 4 Taluks as a precautionary measure

As a precautionary measure related to the murder case of BJP worker Praveen, the sale and transportation of liquor has been banned in 4 taluks of the district till Friday midnight, according to District Collector Dr. Rajendra KV issued the order on Thursday. A tense atmosphere has been created throughout the district.

As a precaution, sale of liquor has been banned in Sulya, Puttur, Kadaba, Bantwala taluks. A BJP youth leader, Praveen Nettaru was hacked to death with lethal weapons in taluk’s Bellare by an unidentified  bike-borne duo on Tuesday, July 26 night. He had just downed the shutter of his shop when he saw two persons on a KL registered motorbike charging towards him.  He ran towards the neighbouring shop in a bid to escape but the duo struck his head with a long knife and fled the scene. Praveen was found lying in a pool of blood and while being shifted to a private hospital he succumbed.
