Old Pension Scheme: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah gives Green Signal

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has given good news to the state government employees, it is learned that CM Siddaramaiah has given approval to consider the old pension scheme for the employees who have been appointed as per the notification of the state government prior to 01-04-2006.
According to a media statement issued by the State Government Employees Association which has informed about this, as a result of the continuous efforts of the association and on date: 10-01-2024, association member met Deputy Chief Secretary to the Government of the Department of Finance Mr. L.K. Atiq.
Employees who were subject to recruitment notification before 2006, he was requested to consider them under OPS and he responded positively and said that he would issue an order soon after getting the approval of Hon’ble Chief Minister.
Accordingly on 11-1-2024 Hon’ble Chief Minister of the State Siddaramaiah appointed as per notification of the State Government earlier than Date: 31-03-2006 Date: 01-04-2006 present for work and currently working under NPS scheme. OPS for employees has been approved in the concerned file No: FD/99/PEN/2023 to be treated as employees.
