Moodabidri: The incident of a student attempting to commit suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a college was happend at Alvas College Hostel, Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada district, News Next kannada Reported.
Rajat Suresh Pattata of Belgaum, PUC 2nd year student is currently being treated at a private hospital in Mangaluru. He came to the hostel from college around 6pm yesterday evening. Returning from college shortly afterwards, the student suddenly jumps off the 5th floor of the college building and attempts suicide. The student was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The condition of the student is serious. He called and spoke to the family before attempting suicide. He then jumped out of the college building. The exact cause of the suicide attempt is unknown. A case has been registered at the Moodabidri police station and the investigation is on.
