Bomb Blast Mangaluru: Police have identified the suspect in connection with the case of a cooker exploding in an auto near Kankanadi, Mangaluru. Mangaluru Bomb Blast: Big twist, Police identify the suspect, Use fake Aadhaar card. The suspect had rented a room in Mohan Kumar’s building at 10th Cross, Loknayaka Nagar, Mysuru.

He mentioned his name as Prem Raj in the deed of rent. Police said that he had given an area of Hubli as his native town and address. But now come to know that suspect used fake Aadhaar card.  Sources said that when the police entered the room, they found many explosive materials.

Many projectiles including circuit board, small bolt, battery, mobile, wood husk, aluminum, multimeter, wires, mixer jars, pressure cooker were found. Sources said that one mobile, two fake Aadhaar cards, one fake PAN card, one FINO debit card were recovered.

Suspicion raised by the passenger’s statement

The police has intensified the investigation regarding the mysterious explosion that took place in the Mangaluru auto rickshaw. During inspection, suspicious items were found in the auto. Police have seized two batteries, nut bolts and circuit-type wiring. The items found in the auto have been sent for examination by the FSL team.

Suspicion is also raised about the passenger in the auto. He was in an auto coming from Mangaluru Junction railway station. The auto boarded near Naguri, 1 km away from the incident site, and half of the passenger’s body was burnt due to the intensity of the blast. The passenger, who is currently in critical condition with injuries on his hand, chest and face, is being treated at a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Information has been received that he was speaking Hindi language. But during the investigation of the auto passenger, unclear information was found. He is creating confusion by making one statement before the police. Once he told that he was from Mysuru. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is expected to leave Bengaluru for Mangaluru today to investigate the case.

The home department has taken seriously the fact that the blast took place after CM Bommai’s visit to Mangaluru. Another team of bomb experts from Bengaluru will also go to Mangaluru, and for now, the Mangaluru police have started a thorough investigation into the entire incident.
