Earthquake in Dakshina Kannada: Once again the earth shook in the taluk at around 7.45 am on Tuesday June 28. People ran out of their houses in order to save their lives. Karnataka: today again Earthquake in Dakshina Kannada.

People felt the tremors at Sampaje, Aranthodu, Peraje, Jalsoor, Ubaradka, Thodikana and Mittur. The tremors were felt exactly at 7.45 am. People who experienced say that the sound generated was much louder before the earth started shaking.

All the utensils inside the houses reportedly fell down and rolled to a distance. Tremors lasted for three to four seconds. Tremors were reported on June 25 also. A 2.3 intensity earthquake was recorded on the Richter scale on that day according to the report of state natural disaster monitoring center. That was recorded at around 9.09 am and the range was 4.7 km from the epicentre.

Three days before Parts of Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Kodagu districts experienced a slight earthquake. There was an incident where people ran away from home in fear. The tremors were felt in the villages of Holenarasipur taluk and villages near Somwarpet in Kodagu district. Houses and roads developed cracks and people ran out of their houses and were staying in the open space.

Karnataka Earthquake according to Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority Commissioner, Manoj Rajan, the epicentre was Maluganahalli village under Nagaranahalli village panchayat in Holenarasipura Taluk of Hassan district.
