Lockdown fix in Karnataka for 10 days

Covid cases daily rises in Karnataka, it reaches over 21,000 cases, situation in state says will impose 10 days Lockdown in Bengaluru. The lockdown is likely to take effect for a week or ten days from February 1. The state government is already working on controlling the Covid cases in Karnataka. Experts have submitted a report to the state government that the coronavirus will explode in February. The lockdown will go into effect if covid cases continue rise coming days. The state government may not use the word like lockdown but will close all services, except the emergency health service and the purchase of essential items.

Covid cases blast in Karnataka today report 21,390 new cases yesterday, January 12. Highest in Bengaluru State capital Bengaluru reports 15,617 cases in single day. Positivity rate in State 10.96% and 1,541 Discharged today.  Active cases State: 93,009 and 73,000 in Bengaluru. 10 people death in 24 hours.

Karnataka decided Tuesday to extend the existing Covid curbs such as night curfew and the weekend curfew till January 31, wary of the way the virus is spreading, taking the state’s positivity to 10.30 per cent.  The existing curbs were to end on January 19. Karnataka on Monday announced additional strict guidelines to contain the spread of coronavirus due to Omicron. State extended night curfew and weekend curfew till January end.

The state government has now prohibited all rallies, festivals, dharnas and protests. guidelines also mention Marriage functions are permitted with not more than 200 people in open spaces and 100 people in closed places. The Karnataka government has authorised Deputy Commissioners of respective districts to take a call on School closed, including residential schools closed, and colleges in taluks.
