Karnataka record 41,400 covid-19 cases, 52 death in 24 hours

Karnataka on Tuesday reported 41,400 new Covid-19 cases along with 52 deaths. The state also recorded 53,093 recoveries in the past 24 hours. State health minister K Sudhakar said that this is the first time since the third wave began, recoveries exceeded new infections.

The test positivity rate dipped to 26.70% from the 32.95% on Monday. Among the new cases, 19,105 were reported from Bengaluru.

Despite having over 50,000 active cases across the state in the middle of a surging Omicron wave, daily hospitalisation in Karnataka remains low. According to the state health department on Sunday, 5164 people sought admission to health care facilities of which 3386 were in government and 1,778 in private.

Admissions for oxygen beds, ICU beds and ventilators were 1048, 421 and 129 respectively. Hospitalisations showed a drop from January 20 when 5,344 people were admitted as against 5529 on Jan 21 and 5237 on Jan 22.

Karnataka SSLC Final Exam Time Table Out, Exam start from March 28

The Karnataka High School Examination Board has announced the SSLC Main Examination Schedule. The Karnataka Secondary Education Board has decided to conduct an examination from March 28 to April 11.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Board has already announced a tentative schedule for the SSLC Annual Examination to be held in spite of covid-19. Now the final schedule of the main exam has been announced. Accordingly, the examination will begin from March 28 and end on April 11.
