Rain will increase slightly in Chikmagalur, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Kodagu districts today. Dharwad, Hubli, Belgaum, Bidar, Kalaburgi districts will receive moderate rain today.
Heavy Rain is likely in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Belgaum districts. Thus, yellow has been announced today for these 8 districts of Karnataka.

In neighbouring Punjab and Haryana, light to moderate rain is likely in some parts as the weather agency has issued a yellow alert for some districts. For Rajasthan, the IMD has predicted heavy rain over Udaipur, Dungarpur, and Banswara. In Uttar Pradesh, most parts will see no rain while some districts in the southern part are likely to moderate rain as the weather office has issued a yellow alert for today.
In a daily weather update, the IMD on Thursday said Widespread to isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorms is very likely over Madhya Pradesh till 14th August; Chhattisgarh on 13th and 15th; Gujarat on 12th, 13th and 15th; Konkan, Goa, and central Maharashtra during 12th-15th August 2022. In the east and northeast region, the weather office has predicted fairly widespread to heavy falls over Gangetic West Bengal on 14th.
