Karnataka Govt Give good news: Senior Citizens will get monthly Rs 2000

There is a huge demand for increase in Old Age Pension in the state and this is being considered seriously. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the old age salary will be increased in the next budget of 2024-25.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Speaking at the World Senior Citizens Day program held in Bengaluru, he said that the whole world was celebrating the World Senior Citizens Day. Our government is also celebrating Senior Citizens Day. Happy World Senior Citizens Day to all the senior citizens of the country.

A request has been made for increase in old age pay. The government will consider this seriously. In the next budget, will announce the increase in Old Age Pension. He said, “I will not tell you how much, but it will be increased from the current one.”

I hope all the old people of the country live for more than 100 years. I hope to be healthy for the rest of life. It is the duty of every person in the society to respect the elders. How long we live is a part of it. We have to lead a meaningful life any problem. As Kuvempu said, everyone should become cosmopolitan. He said that whatever religion one may be born in, that religion should be loved and respected but another religion should not be hated.

Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar appealed to increase the Old Age Pension:

About 49 lakh senior citizens of Karnataka who are above 60 years of age in the state will get Old age pension Rs 1,200 per month from the government. Women and Child Welfare and Senior Citizen Empowerment Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar appealed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to increase it to Rs 2,000.

Lakshmi Hebbalkar said Even today many seniors have demanded me. They requested to give Rs 2000 same as Gruha Lakhmi Scheme. Then I said that I will appeal your requet to CM Siddaramaiah. Now 49 lakh senior citizens are getting Rs 1,200 per month from the government. However, due to the increase in the prices of daily necessities and other materials, this money is not enough to maintain life. Minister Hebbalkar has requested to increase the pension to 2,000 and take action in this regard.
