Karnataka Govt announced Manaswini Scheme: Check eligibility and Benefit

Karnataka government announced Manaswini scheme which will benefit unmarried and divorced women after implement Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, Shakti yojana and Anna Bhagya Scheme.

The Karnataka government is implementing a series of schemes for women. Already announced Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, Shakti Yojana, Anna Bhagya and Streeshakti loan scheme. Now Manaswini scheme has been implemented on the back of loans from Streeshakti organizations, which will benefit unmarried and divorced women. The state government had reserved money in the last budget with the intention of making women self-reliant.

As soon as the government came to power, the Gruha Lakshmi scheme was implemented. Two installments of the Gruha lakshmi Yojana have already been deposited in the woman’s bank account. In the meantime, the government has given good news to the women of Streeshakti groups and has announced that it will provide a loan of Rs 2 lakh to women at zero interest rate. All these years loans were given to women at low interest rates.

But henceforth loans are being given without interest and women can pay only the principal on the basis of installments. Now the state government has implemented another scheme for women during Dussehra. This scheme will only benefit divorced and unmarried women between 40 to 64 years of age. The objective of this project is to make women self-reliant.

Importantly, the state government has implemented the Manaswini scheme in 2013. Through this scheme, a scheme has been devised to provide financial assistance to unmarried and divorced women. Through this scheme, money will be deposited into the bank account every month. Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar gave information about Manaswini Yojana.

The state government has set aside Rs 138 crore in this year’s budget for this project. She said that the state government is working day and night for the development of women. The state government has already announced free travel for women in government buses in the state through Shakti Yojana, and since last few months women have been availing the benefits of this scheme. Government buses are now overflowing with people due to Shakti Yojana.
