25,000 women empowerment organizations will get Rs. 2 lakh Interest-free loan facility will be available In the current year’s budget, our government has allocated Rs. 70,427 crore has been earmarked for women empowerment, he said.

For the economic and social empowerment of women in the state, “Streeshakti” scheme was implemented from the year 2000-01. Streeshakti groups have been formed in urban and rural areas of 176 taluks in the state. It is a revolutionary step to organize women on a large scale by earmarking funds for programs aimed at the development of women through the scheme.
