The Indian Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of thundershowers in the south and north hinterland and coastal districts of Karnataka today. In Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural, Chamarajanagar, Davangere, Chitradurga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Tumkur, Vijayanagar.

Shivamogga, Ramanagara, Bidar, Bagalkote, Belgaum, Gadag, Haveri, Raichur, Kalaburgi, Yadgiri, Koppal, Vijayapur districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of thundershowers.

The Indian Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya from April 28 to 30 and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on April 29 and 30. In the western part, light to scattered rain is forecast over Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada, while light rain is expected over Gujarat in the next 5 days.

Heatwave conditions are unlikely to return to most parts of India till the end of the month and fresh rain is expected in the northwest region from Friday, the IMD said on Monday. While the maximum temperature in Northwest, Madhya and East India fluctuated between 36 and 39 degrees Celsius on Sunday, it was between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius in the rest of the country except the Western Himalayan region.
