IMD heavy rain alert in these places next 24 hours: issued yellow alert

IMD heavy rain alert: The India Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the next 24 hours across the state, including the state capital Bengaluru. Monsoon rains have intensified in the state, many areas are already receiving good rains, and today there is a possibility of heavy rains in the southern interior districts.

Coastal districts and various southern inland districts have been receiving good rains for the past two days. Yellow alert has been announced today for heavy rain in Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and south interior Tumkur, Bengaluru Rural.

Also Bangalore city, Ramnagar, Tumkur, Hassan, Mandya, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramnagar, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, coastal districts and many southern interior districts today. The IMD said the Southwest Monsoon has advanced into remaining parts of South Arabian Sea and some parts of Central Arabian Sea.

Entire Lakshadweep area, most parts of Kerala, some parts of Tamil Nadu, remaining parts of Comorin- Maldives area, Gulf of Mannar and some more parts of Southwest and Central Bay of Bengal and some parts of Northeast Bay of Bengal on 8th June 2023; Thus, Southwest Monsoon has set in over Kerala on June 8, 2023 against the normal date of June 1.

The India Meteorological Department said various parts of South India are undergoing continuous rainfall with the onset of monsoon and the delayed effects of the convection conditions. The weather department which has issued a rainfall and thunderstorm warning for the next few hours in certain states on Tuesday.
