Heavy Rainfall in Karnataka next 2 days : Issued red alert, school holiday

The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the state for the next two days. Coastal and hill districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall for 2 more days. Mysuru, Shivamogga, Hassan, Tumkur, Haveri, Belgaum, Gadag, Dharwad, Vijayapur, Kalaburagi and Bidar districts are expected to receive heavy rain and yellow alert has been announced. Orange alert has been issued for Belagavi, Bagalkote, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Tumkur districts on Thursday and Friday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a red warning till August 5 in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts in view of heavy rainfall forecast in the region.
